The Hulls Cove visitor center was clean and well laid out with clean restrooms and souvenir shopping. The rangers were helpful and friendly. You pretty much have to buy a trail guide if you want any kind of detail.

Very helpful personnel directed us to a good route through Acadia. Everyone was welcoming and full of advice such as which way to go on the Park Loop Road. A lovely day resulted.

There's a lot of good information here. Perfect place to visit when you first arrive at the park. We had fun in here looking at the displays. There is also a little shop where you can buy some items. Definitely can get busy though!
rangers were helpful, watch the 8 min video, we bought audio cd to tour on our own and it was interesting, well done
Very clean restrooms. One free map per family. Ample parking (we were there in the off-season). Lots of nice Acadia related gifts.
Made our first stop to Acadia National Park at the Hulls Cove Visitor Center. Good information on where to go and what and how to see it. Glad we stopped there first--the park is huge and the trip to Cadillac Mountain is a must.
I loved the winding stairs up to the entrance. It got me excited about what I was going to see in the park. The people who worked there were very nice and friendly.
The visitor center has a video that is about 15 minutes long that previews what to expect on your visit. They also have a three dimensional map of Mount Desert Island that is impressive. They have a gift shop and there are several rangers on duty to answer any questions.
We began our journey with this very first stop. We saw the 15 minute beautiful film, looked at the wonderful model of the park, reviewed our map, used rest room and started the most beautiful sights and sounds ever, Park Loop Road!
