This place makes you want to take 3,000 photos! The bridge was so beautiful we took tons of photos and watched sea lions swim. We just really enjoyed the view.
Golden Gate Park is another one of those places you must visit. Anyone who has lived in San Francisco has memories and stories about the park. I remember when the Grateful Dead was still around and dead heads lived in the park. We battled for the rights of the homeless at the park, the community gathered there when Bill Graham... More
Great place! Great location. Cannot feed the birds but people do it anyway but great place to walk with your significant other.
Golden gate park is way bigger than it looks on a map. Plus there isn't much for a tourist without a car to do. Skip it if you are walking.
I stopped by here for about an hour while on a business trip to kill some time before flying out my last day. I went before noon and there was no problem with parking. And it was free. The views of the bay are quite good. It's all free as far as I know. There are places to ride your... More
Traveling with friends and their kids, we spent a lot of time in the kids' park. Visiting the Merry Go Round and especially the climbing course and concrete slides. As one kid notes, "this is the best place EVER!"
As a young adult I found Golden Gate Park peaceful and full of wonder. As a mom, I found it peaceful, full of wonder, and great for exposing my child to nature, fun, activities (playground, horseback riding (no longer available, I believe), walking trails, concerts, bike riding, arboretum, rose gardens, museums, etc.)
The Golden Gate Park is a wonderful sanctuary on the edge of the city. Well, I say edge, but it penetrates deep into the heart of SF. There is a lot to do and explore in the park including the de Young Museum and the Botanical Gardens, both of which are worth visiting. So, take a day out of your... More
One could come back to this glorious park on very many occasions and always find something new to enjoy. For me the pleasure is in the plant and bird life. The Botanical Gardens are an inspiration and well worth visiting and within the park you should have ample opportunity to see birds and wildlife. I also love the Japanese Garden,... More
We only grazed one end of the park. Took in the Japanese tea garden and had some excellent tea there. Its a beautiful place and well worth a visit. The part of the park we saw was excellent and there's lots to do there, unfortunately most of it is quite expensive. We wanted to hire a bicycle for two ($25... More
