WOW - Canyonlands was much more grand and spectacular than we imagined. I figured it would be 'not much' after Arches, but WOW I am glad we went. Definitely worth the drive. Bring your own lunch and lots of water - there is no food service in the park. There are miles of awesome trails, but we are not hikers.... More

Made the loop beginnig of april this year.....Not a great weather that day but nothing falls from the sky so....... I saw Grand Canyon and I can say that Canyonland is almost beautiful than his southern neighbor.... I say ALMOST just because of the colors in Grand Canyon that are not really in Canyonlands BUT despite of the colors, Canyonland... More

Outstanding landscape that goes on and on! You think you have seen the most beautiful spot and the next one you stop at is even better!

The magnitude of this park is huge. The landscapes stretch almost as far as the eye can see. It is almost impossible to take in all of the beauty with which a person is surrounded in this park. In addition to the grand vistas there is also a huge amount of well preserved plant life (thank you visitors). If you... More

It really is amazing what nature can create. The views from Canyonlands overlook were stunning and the early morning at Mesa Arch when nobody else was there, was priceless.

Place is pretty amazing. We only did the north half of the park. To get to the south end you have to go back through Moab and the Park Ranger said was about 1.5 hr drive. We didn't do any of the long trials just the short ones you have to take to get to soem views. Great place for... More

We hiked the Needles district - it's spectacular. Not much more to say. It takes awhile to get there but it's worth it. I would love to camp there but in the high season the chances of finding a spot are slim to none.

It's Canyon Lands National Park, people! It's standing and staring at the great art of the Southwest, but you're in it, not staring at a painting of it. The sheer, stark, raw, powerful, awe-inspiring beauty of the desert, up close and personal. Bring a hat & lots of water, go during the spring or fall unless you're a Disneyland in... More

As the title states, I only went to one section of the park. It's certainly not as picturesque as Arches, but with all of the regions that make up Canyonlands, there's plenty to explore. Absolutely see Mesa Arch (a drive up and short walk) in the afternoon - best pics of the day. Hope to visit the Needles District next.... More
