It is one of most beutiful rocks in a park. It is very easy to get there. Trail is not hilly at all. View is amazing.
This trail isn't that long, but it gets you right up close to the rock which is cool. Takes maybe 20min to walk around the rock and take pictures.
The trail wraps around Balanced Rock so you get to see it from all angles. When we were there, staff members were measuring it to see if it shifted. Apparently, it's been moving very slightly every year, and may eventually fall down.
this is located in the Arches National Park. it is amazing to see such a huge rock precariously perched on a little pedestal. The distance from the car parking area to Balanced Rock, is very short. Probably only a distance of about 300 yards.
A spectacular view and an easy trail should make a great experience for those of any age. Inukshuks line the path and you may enjoy making your own. (.
