After visiting Arches National Park and driving Scenic Byways 279 (Potash Road) and 128 in the Moab area, it was hard to imagine any vistas that could surpass their beauty until we drove into the Needles District of Canyonlands. May 2007 heading from Monument Valley north to Moab I stopped in the Needles District of Canyonlands National Park along the way. The landscape was filled with rock spires, arches and canyons.
