We took my wife's 90 year old mother onto the Blue Ridge Parkway in early June. I remember it as a kid, but since, of course, its appeal has somewhat changed, and certainly the people driving it have. Speed limit too slow! Forget it...we're using the interstate! We don't have time. That's old stuff. If you've said any of those,... More

I love the Blue Ridge Parkway. It reminds me to slow down, take a walk, enjoy the views. I live within a five minute drive of the Parkway, so I am a regular user, both by car and by bicycle. I wish the park service was better funded so that parkway officials have the funding they need to maintain the... More

We always enjoy taking a drive across the Blue Ridge Parkway. There are a number of tunnels and lots of beautiful views. Plenty of places to hike. Absolutely recommend a fall trip to see the beautiful fall colors.

I live extremely close to the Parkway and take it most of the time in the Fall. It's just beautiful and "get back to nature" type atmosphere. The walking paths are outstanding

we travelled the Asheville-Cherokee leg and it was very beautiful, many lookout points, a stunning sunset (can be seen only on miles 425-460) and a fun drive.

I've been there once when driving from asheville to cherokee. The view was just outstanding as the yellow and red leaves falling down in the drive way. I was visit Blue Ridge Parkway in autumn, but im pretty sure its always beautiful to visit all season( however when its winter were close temporary due the icing on the drive way)... More

This is a beautiful drive by any standards. We went on a day which turned out to be cloudy, but we are 100% sure that this would be utterly spectacular in the autumn.

The drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway is simply one of the prettiest I have ever seen. I think any time of year would be beautiful, but, years ago at the height of the fall colors it was fantastic. A must do -- at least ten or twenty miles of it!

We have driven sections of the BRP before but never the whole thing. We started at Front Royal, VA and drove the Skyline Drive and the BRP to Ashville, NC. We skipped one of the most scenic parts from Ashville to Cherokee because we have driven that more than 5 times but don't miss that if you have not seen... More
