This is one of best theaters ever. Play first rate movies of the highest quality. Excellent popcorn and good beverage selection. This is a wonderful way to see a film with mature adults.

The movie feels so much like the movies of yester year. No multiplex, 2 fine little auditoriums, great popcorn and you can get a beer to go with it, if you want.

Old, intimate little theatre which plays excellent, artsy movies. Always a treat. Explore downtown Asheville after the movie.

I love the fine arts as they bring some excellent films you won't see elsewhere. My only complaint is the seats are right on top of one another so there's no room in the seats if you have longer legs. Plus if someone tries to pass you in the row to get to some seats you really need to get... More

The theater takes us back to our early movie experience. The first floor is a traditional auditorium and the second floor is constructed in stadium seating style with comfortable chairs and not a bad seat of course. The concessions are very reasonably priced. It's great to have this icon available to enjoy. The movies are always entertaining and often things... More

If you are a fan of indie films, This is your best consistent option in western North Carolina. Recently upgraded equipment Improves the experience. This is one of those establishments that makes Asheville-Asheville. And one of the many reasons I enjoy living here.

The Fine Arts Theater gets great movies, and shows them in a comfortable, friendly atmosphere. Before the theater opened, Asheville only rarely got some of the best art movies.

We thought the theatre itself was wonderful. Very new and very intimate,( by Chicago standards). We saw the River North Dance Company and really enjoyed it. All seats seemed excellent.

The Fine Arts Theater is a great place to see grown-up movies that give you something to think about. It offer big screens, comfortable seating, and fine concessions. It is steps away from some of Asheville's best restaurants. They even show movie previews in their window!

This theater shows movies that are not available everywhere. The only drawback is the seats are very old (good shape) but are not real comfortable.
