Torrey Pines, the beach and the cliffs and trails are all named honoring the very pretty and very rare Torrey Pine trees. Pretty sure they only grow here and there aren't many but the ones that remain remind me of something from a Tolkien story. A good place for a walk, a bit blustery at times.
A hike through Torrey Pines Reserve can become an addiction. The views are gorgeous and it makes for a great workout

We had beautiful views and a good hike on the trails. We parked at the bottom for $12 and hiked up to the trail head.
The views were terrific and the hiking was wonderful. You can start out on the bluff and end up at the ocean. This was a great way to spend an afternoon.
Beautiful - a must-see! Wearing comfortable shoes because it is a long walk down to the ocean but definitley work it.
