good look at what life was like on one of our front line carriers. I really enjoyed looking at the static aircraft displays and the lower hangers.

This is an absolute must see if visiting San Diego. My family, including 2 boys ages 7 and 11, took the tour over Spring Break this year. I was worried my boys would be bored since it was not a theme park attraction with all the exciting rides. However, they loved it. It was such and eye opening and educational...

Unique experience - unless you've been on a large warship before. A great venue for corporate events. Be careful on the flight of stairs - and wear practical shoes!
The museum is easy to navigate, with an audio tour. Very good history lessons along the way. The flight deck is great - hard to imagine landing an aircraft on that runway.
Wasn't sure about this but my husband wanted to go. I felt a renewed respect for our military. I suggest doing the guided tour to the bridge. Take the tour of the command bridge if you get the time. very interesting. Good value. Talks around the ship from various persons who served on it or other carriers were really interesting
I usually visit this aircraft carrier when I visit San Diego as it is one of the best preserved ships of WWII I have seen. The displays are numerous and there are many volunteers to explain what you are looking at. They also have an audio tour, allowing you to go at your own pace. If you want to see...

We were debating whether to visit here with the short time we had in San Diego - but are so glad we did.
The free audio tour was great - with loads of easy to listen to, interesting information. It's a great insight into life on this huge ship. The flight deck just had to be seen to be believed...

There are so many areas and stories tied to this ship that served the US military faithfully for so many decades, it can surely take a full day to explore them fully. The aricraft, the crew quarters, the flight deck, the planning areas, the cooking areas--FACINATING!
Really well done. The combination of the audio and the experts gives a real insight. You will need 2-3hrs
