Since 2001, the expert, experienced, professional guides of Bike the Big Apple have been safely taking guests far off the "beaten path" - in all 5 boroughs! With us, you will venture into real ethnic neighborhoods, and experience what life is like beyond the skyscrapers. In fact, we are quite proud to still be the only company to do bike tours of our beloved Bronx - seldom seen by visitors to the city. Why take a bike tour? Walking tours are severely limited in the distance they can travel; you are either going to visit a very small area of the city, or spend half of your day underground. Bus tours can cover plenty, but you are completely removed from the neighborhoods by glass. On bike, you can cover much and still get a real "feel" for the neighborhoods we take you to.Come ride with us! « less

My boys (8 and 10) and I did the Friday evening/late night tour on May 10th and had a BLAST!! The guides were engaging and fun. It took my boys a little bit to get used to their bikes but once they did they were at the head of the pack the entire night asking questions and soaking it in.... More

Thanks to George and Jordan, our Bike the Big Apple tour of Harlem and Central Park was most enjoyable. It did rain the entire time, but George made our outing memorable. His is knowledgeable of the area and gave us many historical facts. The church service was moving and the soul food yummy. Thanks for the adventure.

Great to hear you had such a great time with George and Jordan! It was certainly a wet one. It was brave of you to choose to go through with the tour in the rain (not everyone signed up made the same choice as you, instead opting for refunds), and it sounds like it really paid off! More

Guides were very friendly and attentive to the groups needs. My tour mountain bicycle was comfortable and ready to roll. Over the 7.5 hr tour the guides did a very good job of guiding us safely through the city and tying in some elements of its Dutch roots/history along the way. Many of the neighborhoods on this tour are in... More

The best way to get to know New York is by bike. We took the tour with Mark. Although it was cold, we got to see the best of Harlem, Colombia Unversity and Central park. The stories Mark told were so passionate and alife that you just feel like a real New Yorker after the tour. Oh, and before you... More

Have had strictly excellent experiences with Bike the Big Apple on a number of occasions. Did the bridge tour May 6, 2013. Marc did a great job with the guide work. He's funny and obviously loves his work. We rode in and out of Brooklyn and Queens, onto Ward island , had lunch at a restaurant catering to Hasidim in... More

At first I was skeptical when given a gift of riding through New York on a bicycle - crazy was my first thought, madness...second, however, this was brilliant. Myself and my husband decided upon the Friday Night Lights tour at the end of April 2013. We arrived at the bike shop and within minutes we were on our way on... More

We had such a good time on our tour. We took the tour for Manhattan at sundown. I think it is Tour E. We traveled about 16 miles and it was mostly flat and very easy. The only tiring part was the trip up the Brooklyn Bridge, which was mostly up hill. It was a little more difficult, but not... More
