It tells the story of an Irish musician and a Czech immigrant drawn together by their shared love of music. Over the course of one fateful week, their unexpected friendship and collaboration evolves into a powerful but complicated romance, heightened by the raw emotion of the songs they create together. Brought to the stage by an award-winning team of visionary artists and featuring an ensemble cast of gifted actor/musicians, once is a musical celebration of life and love: thrilling in its originality, daring in its honesty... and unforgettable in every way. « less

Pure. This is the only way to describe the music and voices that resonate throughout this performance. With all due respect to everything else on Broadway, this might be the best one out there.

Really romantic, amazing music and it engages the audience in a really unique way. Like no other show I have seen.

Loved the movie - had to see the show. Get there early and have a drink on stage with some of the cast providing entertainment. We did have annoying eaters next to us that crunched packages and ate all kinds of smelly food but that was just a random annoyance not likely to happen to you. This cast, music and... More

We bought our tickets for this and The Phantom of the Opera at TKTS, the discount store in Times Square, We got a 50% disc on the prices and enjoyed this musical play very much. There is some bad language used which could offend some but the message in the story line and experiencing this kind of art in such... More

I was hesitant to go see ONCE, but I am certainly glad that I did. It started out a little bit strangely for me, but by the time it got rolling, I was hooked. THANKS, SIS!

My husband and I are treating our 11 year old grand daughter to a week in NYC. She flew out from San Francisco. For her special time. We did all of the usual things and took in a play in Broadway. I chose "Once". I had seen the movie and loved the music. The music writers won an Academy Award... More

The weather called for rain, so we decided to give TKTS a try. Luckily for us, Once had tickets for 50% off! We were able to get 2 tickets for $140. Row B in the Mezzanine. As many have mentioned before, they open the stage up as a bar. That is a MUST DO! Before we even found our seats,... More

All seats in this theater are great! It is very intimate. The music was upbeat, touching, fun, Irish! I am a huge Glen Hansard fan and was somewhat nervous to see this without him. I was not disappointed at all. Drinks are very expensive, but you expect that there. We also got the tickets on the day of the show.... More

Wonderful stagecraft and music. So tired of the over-the-top Broadway musicals. See this show - you will love it.

Be prepared for some excellent music, extra ordinary talent and an innovative set. We enjoyed Once during the Sunday Matinee and it was incredible. The venue is comfortable and welcoming. The cast interacted with the audience during the pre-show activities on stage. The set is that of an Irish Pub and I am sorry that we did not go up... More
