First of, it is indeed overpriced. At 30 dollars a pop, they should just say to visitors that it is a forced donation. Likewise tell us the taxes we pay is not enough to maintain this aquarium. Second, at this time of sequestration, the place is overstaffed. The idea of having an interactive staff is as good as his/her knowledge.... More

We have made a few visits here. I would recommend for families with young children. They are currently redoing a lot of it. It would have been nice if they would advertise that so that you could wait until it was done to visit. There are still a lot of really cool things to see. They no longer have the... More

I'm amazed that the National Aquarium is raising its ticket price this week to $35. Are fish really that expensive to take care of? The place tends to be jammed full -- which makes visiting at peak times a pretty bad idea -- so it's hard for me to believe they "need the money." And isn't the purpose of a... More

I was pumped up to visit the National Aquarium as the name seemed to indicate some notoriety. The fish/animals were the same you would see anywhere with the exception of the dolphins. The dolphins preformed a show, I have mix feelings about that as they don't have a choice to preform/not preform. That consideration did not factor into this rating... More

My family and I visited over Labor Day weekend and during The Baltimore Grand Prix. There was no wait and we got right in. We loved everything about the aquarium except the dolphin show. We waited for over an hour to get good seats and the entire show was pushing ten minutes most being a lady talking and dolphins playing... More

The National Aquarium in Baltimore is an adequate aquarium, but far from one of the best in the US. It is located in the Inner Harbor so is easy to find and to enjoy the area as a whole. The aquarium itself is large which would lead you to expect to find a lot of different exhibits. However there is... More

This aquarium was OK at best. The location is pretty central, but it is WAY OVERCROWDED. We followed the website advice about getting there early and on a weekday only to find it overloaded with at least 9 different buses filled with unruly teenagers and their poorly appointed chaperones. Although we got right in, the exhibits were ridiculously crowded, it... More

One of the best aquariums I've visited with interesting displays for kids and adults. We loved the tanks that started on one floor and continued with different views as you walked down a slanted walkway. The rainforest was really neat and provided a lot more than just fish and marine animals. It was clear that this was designed by the... More

Expensive but so are all zoos and aquariums now days. A very nice selection of species and a really cool rainforest exhibit that fills the top floor.
