Buying a family membership at your local science center will get you a passport for entrance to science centers all over the nation. It's definitely a bargain if you can visit several in a year! This one is noisy. They don't seem to require minors to be supervised by responsible adults at a reasonalbe ration of children/adult.

Nothing like it for a hands-on science experience for the kids. Was my favorite place to take the kids on those rainy afternoons, or during the winter, when they have been cooped up and need to blow off steam.
The Maryland Science Center is fantastic and great visit for the whole family. I am well traveled and in my opinion this is the best place to get an introduction to the world of Science. The live science demonstrations (in this case - liquid nitrogen) are a good way to see up-close science in action. There are enough exhibits to keep multiple ages engaged. The planetarium shows are included with the price of admission and add variety to the hands-on exhibits.
Many of the displays were not working or if working seemed poorly maintained. The IMAX presentation was awesome and was the best part of the visit

If you are visiting Baltimore Inner Harbor and you have kids this is the place to take them. There are so many activities for them to do and see. You can spend time at the Science Center than walking around the Inner Harbor, lots to see of Baltimore.
A bit pricey and smaller than I was hoping for but it was fund and the kids had a great time and that's what is most important to me.
