I've been to NYC many times and didn't realize that walking the Brooklyn Bridge was such an attraction. It can be crowded, especially with the bikes but was fun to see the structure up close and get a different perspective of the city.

I have to say I didn't find this activity particularly inspiring or all that good. Ask yourself these questions - Do you want views of downtown Manhattan? Consider a cruise. Do you like walking a long distance in rush hour and being knocked around by others? Do you like walking on a wooden path (for the most part) that is... More

Definitely another great place to take a look at the New York skyline. Whether it be night or day (maybe a good idea to do both) you capture the magic of New York standing on this bridge. Do be aware of the bicycle lane because you will get steam rollered if you do not move out of the way!

If you have a beautiful day, do yourself a favor and walk the Brooklyn Bridge, the vistas are great, now including the Freedom Tower. Its very walkable about 1.5 miles. Be careful of the bikers, and stay on the pedestrian lines and you will be rewarded with a great walk looking at the NEw York skyline and into the steel... More

This highly popular attraction is worth walking over. You get good views over the water, of the next bridge, of a bit of Brooklyn and looking back to the city. It's also interesting to be walking a bit above but alongside the traffic going across the bridge. Be prepared that on the Brooklyn side there's quite a walk before you... More

If you just happened to visit downtown Manhattan, especially if you have just done visiting South Street Seaport and have two hours to spare, go ahead and take a walk along the Brooklyn Bride. Enjoy the great city scape of both Manhattan & Brooklyn and if you happened to walk there during the weekend you may even get to see... More

Walkable distance from nearby town / metro stations. Bridge continues to be attraction, with footpaths. Be careful with cycling track. Roadside vendors on the way, selling souvenirs. These workout to be cheaper than the same ones sold in so called souvenir shops. One can walk upto one end of bridge arch. The metal cables are really broad, than viewed from... More

Awesome bridge but unfortunately views obstructed by major work going on. Beware of cyclists going at top speed!
