This was the 2nd time I was at Rock and Bowl. They get first class local new Orleans acts. For $25 we saw Amanda Shaw, Eric Lindell, and Tab Benoit, whose blues/rock/energetic style brought the house down. You can get food such as jambalaya while there. The bartenders did a great job, working their butts off to serve the large... More

We were there on the first night that they offered BBQed oysters -- fabulous. Their hamburgers are local, patuered and great too. You can get in a game of bowling while waiting for the music to start or can even bowl and listen to/dance to the music at the same time -- it is all one room. This is a... More

I have always loved the old location but the new digs are great with so much more space. It is a much more comfortable experience now.

This setting was real unique. Didn't bowl but the lanes looked real clean. Came here to listen to Kermit Ruffins and glad we did. High quality sound stage. Drinks also are reasonably priced. Had a great time here.

It's a bar, it's a huge dance floor and bandstand, it's food, it's for young and old alike, even families. Next door is a restaurant (Olde College Inn) if you want more upscale food. We saw Nathan and the Zydeco Cha Chas a week ago, and they were awesome! Two and a half hours of music without a break (probably... More

A piece of living history - Elvis played here. You grab a lane and in the evening there is live rock n roll - it is just awesome.

I went there after looking up locations for Cajun music. I found this place and went over not knowing what to expect since I just remembered the name, but no description or anything. When I got there I saw this beautiful old time lighting and advertisement on the side of the wall. Inside it's a nice bowling alley in the... More

OK, it's a bowling ally, no it's the biggest dance floor in town, no it's a huge horseshoe bar, or maybe a place for some good Bar n Grill food. All previous statements are correct. We visit NOLA once a year during Jazz Fest and we always make time to visit Rock n Bowl. It is one of those places... More

Retro styled bowling alleys with a full open bar featuring local beers on tap. But, the catch that makes this the best bowling alley I have ever been to is really good live music and a very large hopping dance floor. While visiting Nola with my family we struggled to find places with live local music that we could take... More

This place is just so much fun. The dancing and crowds are just so much fun. Lots of local regulars and that makes our visit so much more fun.
