The bay is beautiful and so peaceful. The water is so smooth it's a great trip even for those whop normally have a problem with the water.
The bay is filled with whales in May, and the tour guides on the day cruises know where to find them. We have also kayaked the bay several times, and stayed in the state park cabins that are available to rent. An amazing place.

We loved the 6 hour lunch boat cruise. The wildlife was amazing, the crew friendly and fun, the views one of a kind !
Oh my goodness! I wish everybody could see Resurrection Bay. No matter where you look, there's a calendar-shot of natural beauty. The entire road from Anchorage to Seward is a scenic wonder. Resurrection Bay is the crown jewel of the drive.

There were vast numbers of birds including many types of ducks, gulls, eagles, and our favorites-the puffins. The mountain scenery and glacier views are incredible. If you are in... More

The food was great and the sea life sightings and ranger talks better than I expected. A few people got sea sick, tho' the ride seemed quite smooth... More
Without question . .a Wow! The mountains coming directly into the water, the Alpine glaciers? Get on the water. The day tours are great, but pricey . .limited budget? Rent a kayak from Millers Landing.

I am told the fishing is also excellent, but I did not get to experience it. It can get interestingly choppy towards the entrance to the Gulf of Alaska.... More
