Food, fun, unique habitats, and, of course, animals. Wonderful zoo to frequent. Very clean bathrooms. Interesting parking. A good place to go out in the sunshine and enjoy the various fauna.
We visited the zoo last month when we visited Seattle. It was a wonderful learning experience! The staff were knowledgeable and helpful. We were there on a cold and drizzly day and saw an amazing number of animals. The habitats (from rainforest to savanah) have been created to be very natural and also allow visitors many closeup views of the... More

It's Seattle. I expect drizzle and thewebsite seemed to indicate that there is a clear route through the zoo to escape the rain, but that's not the case. The website also talks about raining day discounts, but that wasn't the case either. The staff were rude, unhelpful, lazy & seemed bothered that we were even there. My favorite comment came... More
This is a must visit place for anyone living in the greater Seattle area. Top notch facility, excellent parking, excellent exhibits. The care and professionalism of the staff shows through the entire facility!
My wife and I just spent a very pleasant morning at the Zoo, I think that the best thing is the way that they have managed the get the animals up close so that you can really see them. There is a lot to see but the walking distances are relatively short. Very well done Seattle, It's a must see... More

Out of zoos I've been to this is among my favorites. Animals have more adequate space and realistic habitats than many other zoos. Love the orangutan exhibit. The snow leopards were very curious and greeting us at the fence just a couple of feet away. Up close and personal viewing. Beautiful!
I really enjoyed visiting this zoo. The animals are grouped by "bio climatic zones" which is a fancy way of saying regionally appropriate. The layout is very intuitive, however, and one region blends very well into the next, making a walk through feel seamless and peaceful. The enclosures are generous and beautifully designed, while the spaces outside of the exhibits... More
Our family of four had a pleasant morning visiting the Woodland Park Zoo. We used our CityPasses to visit this attraction. We are a bit spoiled because we live right by the San Diego Zoo and visit it frequently...so while this zoo is not quite as large as our zoo, the kids still had a lot of fun here. We... More
This was a great zoo for us. We took our 4 year old and our 6 month old. We arrived expecting to spend a couple of hours and then head out to check out some other attractions, but ended up staying for 5 hours!! The layout is great and the animal habitats are wonderful. We all had an absolute blast... More

While it's not large like the San Diego Zoo, we found it a very enjoyable experience. Lovely landscape and paths to roam around and even without the animals it would have been an enjoyable stroll. That being said, the majority of the animals looked content and there were alot of areas with glassed observation areas where you could get quite... More
