The Woodland Park Zoo is great, and as part of the CityPASS package it was well worth the visit. There are great animal exhibits and the zoo is quite large, easily occupying a few hours' worth of your time. That said, the layout isn't quite as good as some other zoos, and the price is a little more steep than... More

We visited the Zoo on 5/19/13. We were there at opening and could tell that it was going to be a day filled with lots of young kids. Parking was $5.50 and you can use your credit card and pay at one of those unimeters where you print out the ticket and put it on your dash. Zoo is medium... More

Woodland Park Zoo seems to always be improving it's facility both for the animals and the people. It's nice to see decent, life-like enclosures for the animals instead of cages. Most springtimes bring "baby" viewing. This spring had new lion cubs to see. There's a lot of walking to do, but strollers and wheelchairs can manuever throughout the park. On... More

Spent time here sketching. Lots of cool displays and animals. A great zoo to attend. Has a wonderful indoor play area for little kids.

We were there on a weekend and had to fight for parking. It was really crowded and at times difficult to navigate with the stroller. It is a large zoo and we did not even see all of it before our son melted down. The way the habitats are organized it was difficult to see a lot of the animals.... More

Woodland Park Zoo is one of the best zoos I've ever been to. The animals are kept in good, clean conditions and don't look like they're treated poorly. The zoo is kept up and is very professionally staffed.

Woodland Park is a beautiful zoo. It has a great variety of animals and educational programs. It is in a neighborhood that offers numerous options for restaurants and other things to do when your time at the park is over.

I'll say the bad thing first. The parking payment is a nightmare if you get early in the morning. Long lines and you can easily spend 30 hours just paying for the parking. Also, the road to get to the zoo is only one lane and the traffic is heavy. The zoo is amazing for little kids. My daughter 3... More

What a great zoo. A very easy bus ride from downtown. The grounds are very wooded, and the animal habitats look very natural. The animals all looked healthy, happy, and lively, unlike some other zoos. The grizzly bears were the highlight for me. We were also pleasantly surprised by the quality food at the concession stands. It is obvious that... More

Woodland Park Zoo is a perfect place to spend a day with the family. It is just the right size to do in a day (or less) without feeling like you've missed anything. There are animals from all over the world, separated into continent-like areas. Our family favorites include the penguins, hippos, otters, and wolves. Today we were especially thrilled... More
