Matt the tour guide was awesome! He really engaged the kids on our tour, ours are 7 and 9. Every step of the way they were included and made the stars. Excellent, highly recommend!

Almost forgot that we had visited here in june 2012. We had a good time, learned a lot about mining. and we also learned how to "pan" for gold. We actually found some specs of gold, they let us take it home in a small vile. It's a fun place for kids, and adults alike. We would recommend it for...

This was a fun mine to see. Our guide was knowledgeable and fun. It was an easy walk so it would be good for someone with kids or older people.
The tour was a fair priced tour that was entertaining. The guide kept it exciting for both our young kids and us as parents. We really liked panning for gold at the end of the tour.
We had a great time here at Big Thunder Gold Mine! The kids learned a lot and enjoyed panning for gold and gems at the end of our tour. Our tour guide was a ton of fun, I want to say him name was Tom maybe... We did this on our last day in Keystone and are so glad we...

Although this attraction is a bit "touristy" and aimed at appealing to children it was a fun experience for all of us (3 adults, 1 child). We felt it was a bit expensive but our 9 year old grandson loved it and we were very impressed with our guide, who involved the children in the tour of the mine as...

Teens like touring the gold mine and they also enjoy panning for gold. The view of Mt. Rushmore from the front porch is amazing even though it is more than a mile away.
My 6 year old son, loved the whole experience. It was a treat for him and a horror for me (I don't do mines cheerfully). It was really neat (this is not the claustrophob speaking). Panning for gold afterward was fun. A nice day for my son.
Had coupon for but 1 admission get one free so it was onlt $10. Pretty touristy. Hardly any gold was actually discovered in this mine so don't really understand why they chose this spot for a gold mine tour. Tour well planned, bribg light jacket as 52 degrees in mine, felt great cuz it was 100 degrees outside. Get to...
