We love the people and stories they told. They were excellent and showed us a great time around Salem.

I hate to say that I really did not enjoy it at all. I hardly ever write negative reviews but our group of 4 was underwhelmed. I didn't find any entertainment value at the cottage's main show. The spooky stuff was really just loud noises that weren't scary, just annoying. The acting left much to be desired in my opinion.... More

It’s always sad and disappointing to me when I read a review such as this. I think that the main disappointment here is that so much money was spent, and the value was not met. The VIP Pass is a luxury item allowing you to skip the line, go straight in for the next show and pick your choice of... More

The 25 minute show was comprised of 2 thespians (both male) who acted out scary scenes - in a "live theater" setting. The theater consisted of many folding chairs in a small room where you felt as though you were sitting pretty much on the lap of the person next to you (ewww). Some of the costumes were super...others just... More

I'm so sorry that you were dissapointed. We don't make a claim to have a Broadway budget, but strive to improve the show every year. I agree about the chairs, it can be a little tight in there, especially on a busy weekend. We have bigger, non-folding chairs toward the back, which people seem to enjoy. During the week, it's... We took a group of 15 tween girls in celebration of my daughter's tenth birthday and they had an unforgettable time! It's not easy to choose an activity in Salem that would be not too scary for kids this age, yet just scary enough that they would have fun and be entertained. An impromptu dance party with "George the Zombie"... More

We enjoyed this show! Great actors and really neat special effects. Staff was very friendly and price was just right which certainly left us without any complaints!

It was only 20 minutes, but it was very cool to sit and listen and watch the theatrical performance. Look for the triple pack combo so you save some $

We had a great time on the Ghosts and Legends Trolly Tour and our teenage daughters loved the 4D show afterwards. Our trolly had returning customers and if we get a chance, we will return to this attraction too.

As a kid of the 1970s, I missed out on the ghost show tradition that began with the magicians of the 1930s and evolved up through the movie-theater shows of the 1960s. Now because of The Witches Cottage, I got a taste of what I missed. This show is great fun -- intimate, spooky, and a clearly affectionate tribute to... More

I take the Ghosts and Legends Trolley Tour every year from the Witches Cottage. It is always the highlight of my trip! Erik Rodenhiser is the owner of the theater and he narrates the tour, always in costume and in character! He is extremely entertaining! It is so nice to sit on the trolley and realax while cruising through the... More

I attended the first showing of "Chamber of Spirits", the ghost story event that the Griffin Theatre holds on Friday and Saturday nights. It was great! Very moody and entertaining -- the actor did a great job setting a tone, drawing the audience in and slowly racheting up the suspense. He told two stories, one about a haunted ship and... More
