This coarse is first class all the way. The layout is challenging and the views are awesome. Its worth the extra money if you never played a Troon coarse.

I love playing this course and would recommend it to anyone in the area. I would say its worth about a $90 green fee with the condition it was in. Greens where rolling around an 11 for the day and fairways were in great shape.
It's a resort course and expensive, but the Hill Country and city views are exceptional. Lots of blind shots and slopes--the sort of course you would like to play again after learning the tricks the hard way.
Really enjoyed this course. We had amazing weather, the course was in fantastic shape, and I had a blast with the challenge of this course. Some may not like the blind shots from the tee box, but I really thought they added to the challenge and made it fun. The elevation changes make for some breathtaking views of the S.A....

Played the Palmer course 3 times in 2 days. What an amazing experience. Every single member of the staff was helpful and friendly. The starters were hilarious and incredibly educated.
The course was in as good if not better shape during our 3rd round than it was when we first played. Grounds crew kept the course in pristine condition. Greens...

The Palmer course (as well as the Resort Course) at La Cantera is worth travelling to! Four of us from Florida, Illinois and Oregon selected this destination after finding it on the Troon Golf website.
We had high expectations (is there a Troon course that isn't amazing?) but this really blew us away.
The staff was outstanding. The pace of...

We played the course during Fiesta. The course is quite challenging though the conditioning isn't the best. Not bad but we had played TPC the day before and its in fantastic condition. Nonetheless, we thoroughly enjoyed our round. If you're staying down on the Riverwalk, its about a 25 minute drive to get to the course.
They had a corporate event going on, and the play was unbearably slow this trip, but previously stellar. Great hot dogs and cart service. Recommended!
I have been on other golf courses that seem to hold their nose up to visitors, but Palmer was a joy. It has that Texas charm that makes you feel welcome. The course is just fantastic and some very unique holes. There are actually two courses and I had a chance to play both. The course can be challenging but...

Stayed at the Westin affiliated with the course. I decided to go play nine holes while my wife was in her conference. I am so glad I did.
Very nice course for golfers of any skill. I played from the silver tees and it was challenging but still enjoyable. Nice elevation changes which give you great views from almost every...
