Great little museum. Come here before going out on a whale watching cruise or going to Whale Watch park so you can learn about these magnificent creatures and enjoy your whale watching experiences all the more.

little lovely museum, kept with hart and soul. Would have liked a little more scientific background explanations on whale behaviour and movement pattern
You can literally walk here from the mainland, if you park your car in Anacortes and walk on the ferry. It is several blocks from the ferry terminal in Friday Harbor, but ALL up hill! The kids enjoyed visiting the whale museum. It's not a very long stop, but has some interesting things to look at and good snap shot opportunities.
Small but very informative museum. Interesting artifacts, signage was very informative. Most of the focus was on the local Killer Whale pods - provided history on some of the individual whales.

I love reading the facts and watching the videos, there is so much I didnt know about our local sea life. This year we spent about 2 hours exploring the...

It's a self- guided and paced exhibit and was the perfect way to begin our whale...

If you are a visitor to the Islands you should include this stop on your list. Children will especially find this fascinating. Run by a dedicated and knowledgeable group of 'whale huggers'. Everything you wanted to know about Orca whales but was afraid to ask.

For those who don't know a great deal about whales, this is a very educational. The museum is expanding to include an exhibit for Sooke (L-112), a young (just over 3...
