Located on a tiny island (Rose Isl.) the building has been meticulously restored to its period of use. Stay overnight in one the lighthouse's rooms and make your own meals. This is unpretentious and as it used to be. you can spend the night there. great views and nice area. TAke the harbor tour to get there.

This photos in this review were very misleading. I drove all the way from Pennsylvania to Rose Island Lightouse and there was no seagull sitting on a rock. Stay overnight in the museum, the fog room is amazing! It's a bit pricey at 250.00 a night and you can only stay one night but to sleep to bell buoy and hear the waves crashing right outside the door and windows is awesome! We were "Keepers" for a week! A fantastic experience. The living is a little primitive but nothing most people would find hard. This is a great experience. Theres allot of history behind the lighthouse and the caretaker who haunts its, still keeping the boats safe! Great time.
