This is such a beautiful place for people to safely and responsibly enjoy the water, coral, snorkeling, in an incredible setting. Plenty of parking is available, but come early as it can get busy and the parking lot can close. It is a safe place for people of all ages to do a little swimming or snorkeling in an natural... More

Even on a "cloudy" water day, it is a treat! So much color! So amazing to be surrounded with the delicate and delightful amazing creatures of the ocean! I have been going to haunama for years! I am shocked at costs now, with parking & entrance fees, but the education, the respect for nature, the preservation, and the honor to... More

I had heard that Hanauma Bay was crowded and overrated so had limited expectations. We had a great experience. We went pretty early on a Saturday-- around 8 maybe-- to try to miss some of the crowds. The variety of fish here is amazing. It is so easy to see fish. Even my 5-year-old who can't snorkel was able to... More

If you like snorkeling, then Hanauma Bay is great. If you like snorkeling where you will get to swim with the fishes up close and see marine life as you've never seen it before, then Hanauma Bay is the only place to be. Simply put, it is amazing! $1 will get you parking and the admission fee of $7.50 is... More

I am a big fan of snorkeling. Visited several other places. Here, you do not need to ride a 30 minutes or 1 hour snorkeling boat. From the beach, just enjoying your snorkeling. I saw various different kinds of fish. I wish I could see turtles... Not a fantastic or great place to snorkel, but at least a nice place!

This is the most beautiful sight on earth to me!! I tried so hard to get down to the beach area but I arrived when they were closing. I am so disappointed I didn't make it to the beach. But from the view at the top I knew it was heaven on earth!!

I would recommend coming here with your family! Great place to watch turtles swimming by as you snorkel around it's blue waters. A sad thing to note is that at certain hours in the day you can see a creamy white stain in the water. Not my cup of tea but enjoy the fish!

If you're traveling to Oahu, snorkeling in Hanauma Bay is a definite must-do. Unbelievable experience, very serene, very well thought-out and preserved. If you're a first-time snorkeler, I highly recommend paying a little more ($5?) for the special tube that allows less water to reach your mouth. The whole experience was magical.

make sure you plan this on a day you have at least a few hours. We ended up taking the bus for $2.50 which was the least expensive way to get there. We actually only rented a car for one day and went to see what we wanted to see that we couldn't use public transportation.
