The hike itself was very pretty. Vernal falls was flowing well and the mist on the trail was refreshing on the warm day that we went. Sunday afternoon, as you might expect, is a popular time for folks to visit. The hike up to the steps is pretty tame. However, the trail steps are steep and were crowded with folks... More

We went in June, you're certain to get wet. It is stair case, made from stone. But if you have a problem with steep climbs, this may not be the place for you.

We did the Panorama Trail up to Glacier Point, then the Mist trail - we got to see two beautiful waterfalls and dip our feet in the water, plus you see rainbows formed by the combination of the sun and water from the waterfalls. It is really special! Moderate to Easy as a hike, popular.

Do yourself a favor and bring hiking poles with you on this hike. Your knees will thank you. It's continually steep going up and coming back down. And of course there's the uneven stone steps to deal with as you ascend next to Vernal Falls. The mist was refreshing rather than drenching when I was there in early June. Looking... More

This is a steep and slippery trail made up of over 500 steps carved into the granite, but well worth the effort. Please be careful as there are 100s of people going up and down at the same time and you or your children could easily trip and fall. Keep an eye on your kids at the top as every... More

Good workout up the trail to Vernal and Nevada Falls. Its a 7 mile (11 Kms) round trip. Its a nice 1,900 feet (580mts) gain to top of Nevada Falls. Be prepared in May to get wet going past Vernal Falls, thus the name. Go up early to beat the crowds that go on this trail or the queue gets rather... More

Gorgeous trail with plenty to see, but crowded with too many people that think they are at Disneyland.

First a suggestion, this is perhaps the most popular hike in Yosemite. The earlier you get there the better. Even the walk to the footbridge, although entirely paved is uphill the whole distance, Gaines 400 feet in 0.8 miles. Downhill the return is easy, but another 0.8 miles. To the top of Vernal Falls is 2.4 miles round trip. Both... More

A fairly steep trail in parts but it's tarmac up to both Vernal and Nevada falls. There are placed for people to stop, and rest but if you are fit you'll cruise on up

A hard hike but great views of the Vernal and Nevada Falls made it all worthwhile. Falls great at this time of year.
