We took off for the a 2 tank dive at 8:30 am. Our first dive was on the wall about 80-90 ft. To get there it took us a while on some rough waters. Our dive master for English speaking group was Pedro, he was also the camera man. He gave us an ok briefing, but he answered the questions... More

I dove with Pedro on March 3, 2013. I am Puertorican but I currently live in the mailand since 1997 when I joined the military. I heard great things about Island Scuba operation however I wanted to tested it myself. I also recomemded Island Scuba to three other friends from Florida. I didn't have any problems booking the reservation. I... More

After contacting Island Scuba, a few emails, and quickly returned phone calls, my husband (experienced), son (1st dive after cert), and myself (2nd dive after a scary and stressful 1st dive after cert last year) arrived to dive this morning and discovered a most welcoming, professional dive shop! From the moment we arrived, I felt confident and assured about diving.... More

I've done close to 4 dozen dives all over the world and while the diving itself in Puerto Rico is great, Island Scuba was hands down the worst dive operator I've ever gone diving with. I tried booking a dive with them several weeks in advance and between emails and phone calls, simply wasn't getting my questions answered. English is... More

While we are certified divers, the wife and I hadn't dove in over 20 years and the wife was very nervous about going without having had a chance to do a refresher course first. Lucky for us, Pedro, Freddy, and Nayva at Island Scuba took amazingly personal and helpful care of both of us. Nayva spent plenty of time before... More

This shop was great, in the sleepy little beach town of Playa Santa. Pedro and Nayda were great to dive with. I did four fun dives, where we saw numerous nurse sharks, a sea turtle, a few Moray Eels, lots of schooling fish, and decent colored corals. My girlfriend Ashley finished up her Open Water referral with Nayda and she... More

Diving. It was nice, clear visibility and nice fishes we saw down there. But that's not the point of the review, because these things are not up to the diving center. The service is what matter, and it was great. Nicely conserved equipment, really big and comfortable boat. These guys involve you nicely in the activity, it's really memorable. There... More

I did "The Wall" dive and also took in "The Aquarium". Awesome dive and Pedro and "Naya" (I think spelled) are a great crew. They know their stuff and it was a great experience. Saw lots of fish (no sharks or whales) and lots of cool terrain. But the thing to point out is that regardless of what you may... More

We drove from San Juan and were concerned about the 7 am boat time. Didn't leave the shop until 0830; don't forget to factor in island time! Dive was great; easy and safe. The boat ride was surprisingly short considering the cost of the dive... But they don't have a minimum number to launch the boat! Nice to have a... More
