What travellers are saying
- Chocolate666Santa Clara, Panama121 contributionsFun, youthful, casual beach vibe- we enjoy the surf as much as the casual dining. Worth a visit even if you don't surf!Written December 13, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Sylvie PMontreal, Canada43 contributionsOur 2 and 4 years old grandchildren really enjoyed their day the games, the slides and il the wate. They had so much fun and want to return for sure when they come back to Panama . It was a great day with lots funWritten April 3, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- anne sPlaya Coronado, Panama58 contributionsSkip Coronado Golf course, and play Vista Mar. Wednesday $30 round with cart, and lunch after at the Boga Bar makes for a perfect day. Even for full price, this course is worth it. Two holes have views of the Pacific. Such a gem on the Pacific coast!Written May 23, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- KelliJoCupPanama City, Panama23 contributionsWhat a total blast! Two chubby grownups in their 50’s & an 18yo & we all had so much fun. Never surfed before. The school is charming, friendly, & super chill. Our teacher, Alex, was a great instructor: patient, helpful, knowledgeable, calm, cheering us on. Great energy. Had us all up in the boards almost immediately. The beach & waves were perfect, not crowded. So glad we tried it, now we’re hooked. Can’t say enough great things about the whole experience! The açaà bowl food cart was awesome too. Can’t wait to go back!Written January 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We boarded the ferry at the Flamenco Marina with Capt Jorge Petti and we *wailed* across the Panamanian coast of the Pacific ocean with a fun and wonderful crew. Upbeat music and amazing views the entire trip.
Even when the protests end, I would highly recommend this trip. At $60 per person for a 2-hour ride? Crazy worth it. We even saw dolphins.
We arrived exactly on time.
Waiting for us was our private driver Federico Arango, who was arranged for us by the Amajo ferry owners. Amazing. He was waiting and took us to the Royal Palms in Nuevo Gorgona. He gave us so much wonderful information about the area and… and… even took us to a grocery store to pick up some food (we are renting a condo).
We are now in beautiful Nuevo Gorgona overlooking the ocean listening to the waves roll in. In the distance there is fabulous Spanish music playing.
We are in paradise.
So. Do we recommend it?
Absolutely. In fact, given the crazy-ass driving in Panama city*, I would make this my go-to way of travel from Panama City to the San Carlos area

Small and private and relaxing. The manger was informative and interesting (and his daughter is a firecracker what a cutie) I have to apologize I am not the best with remembering names and it has been a month I just got home. The young lady in the morning had coffee ready when we woke and also cooked our breakfast, her boyfriend does the lunch dinner shift, he has been a chef for about 30 years and his food was Excellent. The view is great, the area is great and everybody working there were beyond great. I look forward to my next visitWritten December 14, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
