- JannerblokePlymouth, UK12,635 contributionsCame to Altarnun because my maternal grandfather began his long farming career close to the village. As a staunch Methodist he was actively involved with the Wesleyan chapel so we looked out for those buildings but found that the main building, despite listed protection had long been privately owned as a dwelling. But the local parish church was open and we were able to visit and explore this huge spectacular building. The bench ends are renown in English church folklore and themselves justify the visit but there is plenty else.Written March 4, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Emma W2 contributionsTook my nieces to their first steam rally (they live in USA). Thoroughly enjoyed themselves, lovely atmosphere. They loved the old steam engines but not sure about the dodgems (but liked dancing to the music 😂) and loved spending my money in the craft tent.Written February 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
