Chitwan National Park is the home for rhino, tiger, bear, elephants and other mammals.
It was lucky that we witnessed wild elephant, peacock, rhino, crocodile and many exotic birds on our half day safari.
But the best was our canoe ride for 1hr in the evening. It's dangerously beautiful. When u have all crocodiles and rhinos drinking water in a foots length.

I was so overwhelmed to see the unique culture and lifestyle of the Tharu people up close. The way they have conserved their traditions is just amazing. Cultural dance program from this community is must for every traveler who intends to visit Chitawan National Park.

The show was good and entertaining. Dancers are amazing and really highlight their traditional dance culture. At the end of the show, the host asked the spectators to join the dancers on the stage.

Funny and entertaining experience. The centre is pretty big and at the end of the show the audience can join and dance with the performers

Pop in and introduce yourself to Ram Krishna, watercolour & acrylic artist & gallery owner. A very warm welcome, excellent English speaker, lovely family, wide variety of painted topics... walked away with an elephant watercolour for way too cheap. Ram aims to complete 1 painting per day and often sits outside the gallery painting for all to see. Well worth a visit and making a friend.

Went for a drive through the Bishazari Tal. Was a bit crowded at the main lake but the drive was very peaceful and inspiring with greenery.

Elephants chained up are very hard to watch. We went to the elephant breeding area after our forest tour walk, forest is amazing and you can see a lot of animals.

Intrepid tours brought us here during a Chitwan safari, it's in the jungle. It was like 110 degrees at the time, there's little tree cover, and there isn't much else--no cafe, no place to eat, just someone who sells coke and water. Admittedly, I don't give a fig about crocodiles, so this wasn't the place for me, it was completely boring. No one there to regale you with thrilling tales of Croc breeding, you just wander around breeding cages with crocodiles of various ages eyeing you and not moving. There is a small informational area (unguided). It is a 10 minute walk through. Skip unless you're a crocodile fanatic.
