What travellers are saying
- GolfladyUkUK56 contributionsWhat an amazing place to visit. Gardens does not do it justice as a description. Very much an experience. We had a fantastic visit to this wonderful place. Every turn gave a photo opportunity. Allocate at least 2 hours - maybe three for this place. Thank you to all that work so hard there.Written March 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Kara GAuckland, New Zealand84 contributionsNot a great day to visit as was very hot. Most animals seek shade and nap in heat.
But zoo has plenty of shade for human animals too.. and ice cream van at lower end.
Layout bit annoying several dead end paths so have to back track. But over all quite spacious.
New entrance way is lovely though prefer money to be spent on enclosures..
Tiger babies are seen on Webcam but will be out and about when older..Written January 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Global207208392411 contributionI went with my mum and 2 aunties and we all enjoyed it. Trying to find all the owls was fun and I found 11 out of 14. Took a heap of photos and was a lovely morning walk. Probably not the best for people with bad knees.Written February 28, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Henry T14 contributionsawesome!
what an excellent attraction, I could have walked around here all day. lovely selection of art and installations, they had a section on how they preserve art which I found fascinating. there was also a traditional Maori house made entirely out of crochet, which was very cool to see.
