The centerpiece of the resort is The Black Pearl, Roatan’s first and only golf course. This 18-hole, par-72, 7200 yard championship golf course was created by world famous golf course architect Pete Dye. The course starts at the ocean’s doorstep, rises into the island’s rolling foothills, then takes golfers on a wild ride back to the seaside clubhouse. It features one of Dye’s signature island greens, and 14 holes offer stunning vistas of the ocean and the Meso-American Barrier Reef. The Black Pearl is not only a haven for golfers, but for the vast wildlife on Roatan as well. With more than 100,000 plants and trees, the golf course is one of the largest sanctuaries of plant and animal life on the island. This eco-friendly golf course is one of only a few golf courses in the world to use a special strain of grass called Seashore Paspalum. Dye Designs were pioneers of the use of this salt-water tolerant strand for tropics-based projects, known for its environmental compatibility, ease of irrigation and maintenance, and translucent green hue. Its appearance, juxtaposed against the turquoise Caribbean waters, inspired The Black Pearl’s tagline: “The Best Greens and the Best Blues.” The Black Pearl also features state of the art practice facilities including a lighted driving range, ocean front warm-up range, and a practice chipping green designed to create an atmosphere of game-improvement, one that encourages guests and residents to enhance their skill sets while honing their games on one of the region’s most playable layouts. This is a semi-private course with a myriad of membership options available including temporary resident memberships, corporate and executive memberships, and yearly memberships. The Black Pearl is a world-class golf course that perfectly complements Pristine Bay’s luxury resort and real estate options.

The property is unique to Roatan. Just off the main road to a private beach area. This area is part of the Roatan Marine Park preserve. The reef system parallels the white sand beach of Sandy Bay The closiest swim to a underwater ecologial paradise teaming with tropical fish and corals. This area is a quiet tranquil area of Roatan without high end hotels and condos but close to the tourist meccas.

"This private boat tour with scuba diving was the highlight of our trip to Honduras!!! My girlfriends and I opted to have the boat all to ourselves.... I cannot even describe how decadent this day long adventure felt. We had a fabuous homecooked meal, access to a semiprivate beach, and unlimited l..."iquor. The experience was amazing. The dives were surreal. It feld as though we were real "ballers" on a hip hop music video. Adonis, the driver was so professional. Ray anthony and his wife were ridiculously friendly. And, Gregg, our guide made us feel like aboslute royalty. He was a perfect gentelman. by the end of the trip they all felt like family. DO NOT MISS THIS! You will be sorry.

"My boyfriend and I arrived in Roatan via Carnival Dream on May 15th. We requested the Private Tour, which was perfect for us since we wanted to be on our own time. Our driver was Issac and he was great. We met up with him around 11:00. This was my second time to the island, so I had two major goa..."ls for my visit- trying local cuisine and visiting West Bay beach. Initially he took us to a market where we could buy souvenirs. As several people have mentioned prior to me- its seems the drivers do have some sort of deal with the shop owners and are expected to take all their passengers by. We didn't mind it so much. i just kept an eye on time and made sure not too much time was wasted there. From there we were on our way to West Bay. We made a quick stop at a placed that sold rum cake and took some picture. We then went to the beach. We rented lounge chairs at Beachers, then walked down the beach to the end where the reef was. We did some great snorkeling form shore (brought our...
