What travellers are saying
- kkob3North Stonington, CT15 contributionsWe have seen the eagles here a few times. We have never been disappointed. You can see them in their own environment and watch them soar. We will continue to go because each time it has been a different experience. We have enjoyed it every time!Written August 12, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- SammiDeRosaSouth Windsor, CT1,994 contributionsI stopped in here for the first time to go for a fall hike over the weekend. There were a few trails you could take and they were all extremely well marked and took you through various parts of the woods. There were some views but you definitely would want to come once all the leaves fell off the trees to see better. There was good parking, maps now and then, and free to get in for CT residents. You can't ride bikes on the trails here, something to keep in mind.Written September 26, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NancyinCT123New Haven, CT10 contributionsThey have an enclosed small dog area and a large open big dog area where dogs can run, play, and even get wet in a stream. It is a very popular dog park.Written July 23, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- MikeEcsedyBrookfield, CT142 contributionsVery picturesque for fall foliage and birdwatching. I've been on the river trail before which is nice, but today I went up on the trails. They could be better marked. The wideness of the path usually makes it clear where the trail is, and there are some signs at intersections of trails, but they need the color coded markings on trees.Written October 25, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Elizabeth RFarmington, CT2,273 contributionsI literally stumbled upon this location for a walk during lunchtime. Set in the thick woods, there was a main well sculpted pathway with small offshoots —With the recent storms, there was a lot of debris In the woods themselves however, the walkways have been cleared for the most part and in some of the lower lying moist areas wooden plank type walkways have been prepared to keep the traveler dry. The peaceful walk is less than a mile until you hit the beautiful Lake Lillinonah — evidence of campers/campfires remain with a small amount of trash unfortunately left as evidence. Several hills with large boulders and stonewalls winding throughout the property keep things interesting.
Great for a quick getaway stroll.Written October 1, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We have lived in CT all of our lives and had never heard of this place! Wonderful walking trails along the Pomperaug River!Written May 29, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kathi FNorwalk, CT27 contributionsWOW! Reclining heated seats! Some people bring blankets ( one man fell asleep!) Good choice of snacks, popcorn is very fresh. Screen is huge and I think surround sound. Very very comfortableWritten March 5, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
