- MKTBETopeka, KS3,053 contributionsFor years, I have wanted to visit the Overland Park Arboretum during the Christmas season. I have heard such wonderful things about the luminary walk. Saturday night was a beautiful winter evening, and it was perfect to enjoy the Christmas lights. The luminary lit pathways were absolutely magical, with several musicial performers scattered along the way. The disappointment occurred when we approached the Electric Glow area of the park. More than half of the lights and light displays were not working. A staff member explained that it was due to a recent rainstorm. I feel like we should have been warned and maybe given the option to come back at a different time when the lights were fully operational. The train displays were very impressive, but a few more lights would make it easier to appreciate all of the village and surrounding details. Hopefully, we will get back to the Overland Park Arboretum when the lights display is working properly.Written December 4, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - mike304Kansas City, KS372 contributionsIf you're from Johnson County you'll enjoy this museum. Lots of old relics and interesting facts. I enjoyed seeing the electric house and seeing some of the appliances in it. My granddaughter enjoyed the kids play area.Written July 29, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Paige FSpring Green, WI36 contributionsVisited from out of state with family that lives there. It was everyone’s first time. We loved it. Everyone is so kind and it is spaced out for social distancing. Wonderful donuts and coffee for walking around. We brought back lots of goodies.Written August 6, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Previa1994Chicago, IL6,377 contributionsIndian Creek Greenway Trail is an awesome trail for biking. The approximately 17-mile long trail is asphalt-paved and runs on the banks of Indian Creek most of the time. Several community parks go by along the trail. A few spots have some steep hills, and some low spots may be flooded or muddy in wet conditions. It runs most of the time trough woods, but being in urban area, highway noise is not too far off. Pretty elaborate Historical Waymarkers are installed every few miles along the trail.
Indian Creek Greenway is highly popular and used by walkers, runners, and cyclists. It connects up with two other beautiful trails - Blue River Greenway and Tomahawk Creek Greenway.Written May 9, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The inside is well maintained and parking has never been an issue for us.Written December 12, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BrumbaSavage, MN170 contributionsThis group was wonderful!!! It’s nine blokes in an Ireland pub singing a variety of pop, rock and jazz with a few basic instruments. Their voices are the main wonderful event.
Carlsen Center has events most weekends. They have a variety of styles, and tastes in their presentations and at decent prices, so look at them on the weekend here in the southwest KC suburbs and see what they have.Written February 22, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The galleries are beautifully curated with local artists while also incorporating more diverse artists in their collection. We appreciated the variety of works as we toured around. - Herman02Phoenix, AZ411 contributionsFrom the awesome outside to the all the neat things to see inside, this is really a must see/do at least once when you are in the area!! There is a small charge to see the exhibits inside, but, not much and worth it... they do change up from time to time, so if it's been a few years, go back and check it out.Written June 11, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is on the corner of a relatively busy intersection, but parking is free and it is easy to find. Since it is very close to my house, I drive by often and I am amazed that almost every time I go by there are people visiting.Written November 18, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
