  • 1. North Cascades National Park
    North Cascades National Park, Washington

Absolutely the most beautiful drive through the mountains in Washington, and possibly the U.S. Reminds you of the Alps when you get to Washington Pass.

  • 2. Olympic Peninsula
    Olympic Peninsula, Washington, United States

One of the most tranquil places you can be. Home to some of the largest trees in the world, Spruce, Cedar, Fir and Mosses hanging fifty feet or more. It is a rainforest and unless it is July-September, be prepared for rain. It is the Evergreen State for a reason.

  • 3. San Juan Islands
    San Juan Islands, Washington

Beautiful islands to be enjoyed over a few days. Lots of B/Bs and camping areas on Orcas Island. Better yet for Kayakers. Orcas, salmon fishing and beachcombing.

  • 4. The other side of the Mountains, Eastern Washington

There are places to get away from the rain. But it is better that most people never find that out about this state. Walla Walla and Yakima Valley has some of the best grape growing regions in the world, and are making wines comparable with any French or Californian wineries.

  • 5. Puget Sound
    Puget Sound, Washington, United States

Unique body of salt water that provides unbelievable escapes from the city within minutes of Seattle. Port Townsend, Whidbey Island, Hood Canal et al.
