  • 1. Cape May County Park & Zoo - A MUST See
Cape May County Park & Zoo, Cape May Court House

This place is fantastic. At the entrance you give a donation (as much as you want, just remember your contribution feeds the animals here!). The park area has playgrounds and plenty of picnic space. And after you're done, you can enter into this fantastic zoo! The variety of animals here will definitely surprise you.

    To Get Here:
Exit 11 off the Parkway. Look for signs!

Cape May County Park and Zoo
    707 Route 9 North
Cape May Court House, NJ 08210

  • 2. Congress Hall
    Congress Hall, Cape May
    CHECK RATES!
    Avg price: $335

Congress Hall is firstly a hotel. But it is also a great starting point for a day's visit to the Town of Cape May with all its great shops, restaurants, and sightings of painted ladies. On nearby Congress Place (the street) there is metered parking right in front of Congress Hall, so you can walk in and take a look around before walking across the street and into town.

    29 Perry Street, Cape May

  • 3. Sunset Beach
    Sunset Beach, Lower Township

Sunset Beach is a beautifully unique attraction of Cape May. Here, you can see a sunken concrete ship constructed during WWI, sift through wonderful pebbles on the beach for jewelry worthy stones, visit their gift shop, and even get some good food. At sunset there is a flag ceremony definitely worth attending.

  • 4. Sunset Beach Grill
Sunset Beach Grill, Cape May Point

  • 5. Cape May Point State Park
Cape May Point State Park, Cape May Point

While you're on your way to or from Sunset Beach, make your way over to the lighthouse and WWII bunker which are five minutes down Lighthouse RD in nearby Cape May Point State Park. While the lighthouse will be around for years to come, the WWII bunker is slowly submitting to mother nature, as the ocean has washed away the tons of sand surrounding the bunker, and it remains supported mostly by rotting wood beams. A must see before it disappears.
