Each summer Sterling Vineyards hosts a series of outdoor movies on their lawn at night. Cost includes wine tasting! Bring a picnic dinner and a blanket, and enjoy a classic movie under the stars! This huge, FREE Christian music festival happens the first Saturday in October at the fairgrounds in Calistoga, and includes a musical style for everybody, from heavy rock to pop and swing. Other activities include giant inflatible games, climbing wall, skateboarding demos, and much more.
Contra dancing is a cross between square dancing and English country dancing. It's easy and loads of fun. First Saturday of every month at Tucker Farm Center, just north of the entrance to Bothe State Park on highway 29. Cost is $10, and includes a free lesson. Meet some locals for a whole evening of entertainment with live musicians.
