  • 1. Zion National Park
    Zion National Park, Utah

A GORGEOUS PARK WITH A CONVIENENT FREE SHUTTLE BUS THAT TAKES YOU THROUGH THE PARK AND LETS YOU STOP AT ALL THE SCENIC LOOKOUTS AND GET OFF THE BUS TO HIKE ETC. BUSES RUN THROUGH THE PARK CONSTANTLY SO NO WAITING FOR THE NEXT BUS. WE SAW SOME PEOPLE MOUNTAIN CLIMBING. WE ALSO DID 2 HIKES, ONE TO A BEAUTIFUL WATERFALL, AND ONE TO A CAVE. WE ALSO SAW A FLOCK OF 10 WILD TURKEYS THAT WERE NOT THE LEAST BIT TIMID!

  • 2. Bryce Canyon National Park
    Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah

VERY SCENIC PARK THAT YOU CAN DRIVE YOURSELF AND STOP AT ANY SCENIC OUTLOOK YOU WANT. TAKE YOUR TIME AND STOP AT EACH OUTLOOK OR JUST DRIVE THE PARK CIRCUIT AND ENJOY. WE GOT OUT AT EACH POINT AND EXPLORED. WE EVEN DID SOME HIKES. THIS IS A MUST SEE IN UTAH! YOU LEARN WHAT HOO DOOS ARE! GET USED TO THEM, THEY ARE ALL OVER SOUTHERN UTAH.......AND THEY DON'T BITE!

  • 3. Highway 12 Scenic Byway
Highway 12 Scenic Byway, Utah, United States

THIS IS KNOWN AS AN "ALL AMERICAN ROAD" AS IT IS ONE OF AMERICA'S MOST SCENIC HIGHWAYS. HAVE FUN TRYING TO KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE ROAD AND NOT THE SCENERY.

  • 4. Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument
Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument, Utah, United States

THIS IS AN AREA THAT IS ALONG THE SCENIC BYWAY 12 SO YOU ARE DRIVING THROUGH. SUPERIOR SCENERY

  • 5. Capitol Reef National Park
    Capitol Reef National Park, Utah

ANOTHER NATIIONAL PARK THAT IS A DRIVE THROUGH. NO FEE TO BE PAID. IT IS ALSO ALONG SCENIC BYWAY 12. SUPER HIGH MOUNTAINS. TO DIE FOR SCENERY

  • 6. Canyonlands National Park
    Canyonlands National Park, Utah

THIS WAS OUR ABSOLUTE FAVORITE!!. THIS PARK IS DIVIDED INTO 3 AREAS THAT ARE NOT ACCESSIBLE TO EACH OTHER BY CAR. YOU CAN ONLY ENTER EACH OF THE 3 AREAS FROM A SEPARATE ENTRANCE, IN A DIFFERENT AREA ; OFF A DIFFERENT ROAD. EACH ARE MANY MILES FROM EACH OTHER. WE WENT TO "ISLAND IN THE SKY" WHICH IS THE AREA CLOSEST TO MOAB, UTAH. THIS PARK HAS VAST CANYONS, HUGE PLATEAUS, HIKES TO SCENERY THAT YOU WILL REMEMBER FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE! YOU CAN EASILY SEE FOR PROBABLY 80 MILES. YOU COULD ALSO STAY HERE FOR DAYS AND STILL BE AMAZED AT THE VIEWS. ALL YOU CAN DO IS STAND ON THE OVERLOOKS AND SAY WOW!!!!!!!!

  • 7. Moab, Utah
    Moab, Utah

THIS WAS THE BIGGEST TOWN THAT WE STAYED IN SINCE VEGAS. FINALLY A REAL GROCERY STORE AND SOME TOURIST TYPE SHOPPING. AND OF COURSE SEVERAL FAST FOOD RESTAURANTS. THEY WERE EVEN ENTICING! MANY MOTELS TO CHOOSE FROM, WITH REASONABLE PRICES. WE RENTED ATV'S FOR A DAY AND HAD A BLAST EXPLORING THE JEEP TRAILS. WE DROVE 50 MILES ALTOGETHER ON THEM. SO MUCH FUN! AND WE EXPLORED MANY TRAILS AND WENT UP TO THE TOP OF MANY MOUNTAINS AND SAW AWESOME SCENERY.

  • 8. Arches National Park
    Arches National Park, Utah

A VERY SCENIC NATIONAL PARK. YOU CAN JUST DRIVE THROUGH IT AT YOUR OWN PACE. THERE ARE OVER 2000 ARCHES IN THIS PARK. SOME YOU CAN SEE FROM THE ROAD, OTHERS YOU NEED TO HIKE TO SEE. YOU SEE FORMATIONS HERE THAT YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IN THE PREVIOUS PARKS.

  • 9. Monument Valley- VALLEY OF THE GODS
    Monument Valley, Utah

THIS VERY REMOTE NATIONAL PARK IS A MUST SEE. IT IS VERY REMOTE BUT WORTH THE TRIP. VERY UNUSUAL ROCK FORMATIONS AS FAR AS THE EYE CAN SEE. THIS IS ON THE MOJAVE INDIAN RESERVATION.

  • 10. Grand Canyon South Rim
Grand Canyon South Rim, Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona

ONE OF THE SEVEN WONDERS OF THE WORLD, AND WE SAW WHY. TOTALLY AWESOME SCENERY. WE SPENT MOST OF THE DAY HERE. WE TOOK ADVANTAGE OF THE FREE SHUTTLE BUS THAT TAKES YOU ON A 16 MILE ROUNDTRIP OF THE PARK THAT IS ONLY ACCESSIBLE BY THIS SHUTTLE BUS. THERE WERE MANY SCENIC STOPS TO GET OFF THE BUS AT AND VIEW THE CANYON, AND/OR TAKE A HIKE. THIS IS A FREE BUS. MANY BUSES ARE RUNNING SO WAITING FOR THE NEXT ONE IS NOT A LONG PROCESS. WE GOT OFF THE BUS AT EVERY STOP AND EXPLORED.

  • 11. WHITE WATER RAFTING TRIP- 49 MILES ON THE COLORADO RIVER
    http://www.grandcanyonresort.com/rr/rr.html

WOW, WAS THIS FUN! THE DAY BEGAN AT 8 AND ENDED AT 7PM. FIRST WE TOOK A BUS 21 MIILES TO THE COLORADO RIVER (BUMPY, GRAVEL ROAD), AND BOARDED THE MOTORIZED RAFTS. THIS WAS BILLED AS A "GENTLE" WATER TRIP, BUT IT WAS ANYTING BUT! THAT WAS FINE WITH US, AS LONG AS WE DID'NT HAVE TO PADDLE! WE ALL GOT SOAKED! THE FIRST 1/2 OF THE TRIP WAS LOTS OF RAPIDS AND EVEN A STOP, TO GET OUT OF THE BOAT AND HIKE TO A COOL WATERFALL. A LITTLE LATER WE HAD LUNCH ON THE BEACH OF THE RIVER. THE SECOND 1/2 WAS GENTLE WATER ENJOYING THE SCENERY. AT THE END OF OUR JOURNEY WE BOARDED A HELICOPTER TO FLY UP AND OUT OF THE CANYON. IT WAS A SHORT 8 MINUTE RIDE UP TO GRAND CANYON WEST AIRPORT. THEN WE GOT BACK ON THE BUS FOR A 56 MILE TRIP BACK TO OUR MOTEL. EVERYONE HAD A BLAST. THE TOUR HAS A CONNECTION WITH HAULAPI LODGE, SO THE ROOM RATE IS REASONABLE (80) BUT THE RAFTING TRIP IS 289 PER PERSON. THE LODGE IS IN PEACH SPRINGS ARIZONA. THE INDIAN GUIDES WHO DRIVE THE BOATS ARE CAREFUL AND VERY FRIENDLY.
