Great boutique hotel and fabulous restaurants. Or just pick up a picnic lunch at the Carlton Bakery to take with you while you are wine tasting (many wineries have picnic areas)

Hire a private driver to take you wine tasting. Small shuttles hold up to 14 people and they will drop you off and pick you up at your leisure.

  • 3. Justin Winery and Inn, Deborah's Room Restaurant

Beautiful winery, a little off the beaten path but very close to a few other wineries. Excellent winery, wine, food, and atmosphere...

  • 4. Paso Robles Wineries

These wineries are surrounded by beautiful scenery and have excellent wines. Many of them offer wine tasting for a fairly inexpensive cost. Unlike Napa wineries, they have great gift shops and many offer food, especially on the weekends. Paso hosts several wine festivals during the year.

  • 5. Cambria California

Cambria is 1/2 hour from Paso Robles. Don't miss the Sea Watch restaurant on Moostone Beach. Fabulous fresh seafood. Cambria is a quaint scenic city by the sea with great restaurants, art and shops. Also a short drive to Hearst Castle.

  • 6. Villa Toscana at Martin Weyrich Winery

Absolutely gorgeous Italian villa style with first class rooms overlooking the vineyards. Afternoon wine and cheese buffet can be substituted for dinner, delicious!
