I wouldn't recommend this hotel, our room No 14 was clean but tiny it overlooked part of the back of the building which made it really dark, at night we had the the constant hum from an outside extractor. A traditional hotel overlooking Lochalsh on the main road into Kyle. Generally, the hotel is well kept and attractive. The hotel seems to derive an important part of its trade from coach parties, but these seem to be kept separate from individual clients. We have just returned from 3 days at Balmacara Hotel. We enjoyed our stay. The staff were attentive and pleasant without being overbearing. The breakfasts were all that they should be.
