well positioned traditional ryokan style accommodation. Short walk to ski lifts and restaurants. Chigusa-san, the host, could not do enough for us and was also very helpful in sending our skis to the next destination by takkubin. Nice HOT onsen to soak in after a days skiing. Good drying room. I will definately go back next season.

Recently stayed here for one night with my wife and dog. Old building, but comfortable rooms and excellent bath. I think Zao Onsen is my favorite in Japan. Anyway, the owners are super friendly and speak English, highly recommended.
