It is a countryside B&B, we stayed there one night while on the way to Mont St Michel. I definitely recommend this hotel instead of staying crowded and touristy hotels, it is only 15-20 min to Mont St Michel and on the way if you go further to Cancale, a beautiful seaside village, for a good oyster, seafood restaurants and... We stayed for two nights at Les Blotteries while traveling in France with our two kids (ages 8 and 10) and their grandparents. We stayed in the room "Les écuries" and it was perfect for us. This unit is in a separate building so it was very quiet. The kids had their own large room with two single beds on... More

Found this place whilst googling on the net for somewhere to stay near St. Michels Mount. This is it - away from the crowds. We stopped in what is effectively a very nice barn conversion away from the main house with a double bed on the ground floor and 3 single beds upstairs. All modern but no TV which didnt... More

We stayed in Les Ecuries (the stable) at Les Blotteries. It was perfect for our family of 4. Our host was very welcoming and helped us with last minute dinner suggestions, and served a traditional French breakfast with homemade jam. The stable had been renovated with comfortable beds and the best shower of our trip. Our teen girls loved having... More

thank you Jean for being such a lovely host! your home is just beautiful and we all loved it so much! We stayed in Les Ecuries which was way bigger that expected and perfect for us and the kids. Clean, spacious and renovated in such a thoughtful way-we all wanted to stay longer. Jean gave us great tips for dinner... More

Les Blotteries is a charming B&B with nice people and adorable animals (a kitten, a dog and two horses). We stayed in the 'Les Ecuries'-room for one night, a warm and authentic room with enough space and a modern bathroom, luxurious shower and separate toilet. The room is more like a little house all to yourself, with an extra room... More

Fantastic little B&B in northern France. Collection of farmhouses with an interesting cast of human and animal characters. Rooms are rustic but with good amenities and are clean. Les Blotteries is overseen by Jean-Malon who is quite a character and is very attentive and knowledgeable about the region. It is also well located near many excellent sites such as Mont... More

Jean Malo was a warm, friendly and really helpful and genuine host. He went beyond what one would expect as normal service. His B&B is a beautiful old house with the option of converted stables set in a lovely farmyard in rural countryside. Peaceful, beautiful and relaxing! It is an easy cycle or quick drive to Avranches or Saint James... More

I chose Les Blotteries based on the very positive reviews from tripadvisor members. We were not disappointed as the place is great (we booked all 3 rooms so had the place for ourselves), the atmosphere relaxing and most importantly were greeted by a great host. Every room has its personality so there is no favorite to recommend. Breakfast consisted in... More

Another Alastair Sawday find for us, and a fantastic one. We'd been driving all day, so the visit we had at Les Blotteries was perfect. The farm itself was very pretty, with quiet old stone buildings and horses in the pasture. The host Jean-Malo (and his wonderful dog, Mme Plume!) treated us like family from the moment we arrived, making... More
