We chose the hotel for the location which is splendid. The rest a dissapointment. The junio suite had no bedside tables, no glasses in minibar, musty smell. The restaurant (dinner) was very good. The pool would have been great, but the area surrounding the pool a disaster, unkempt, high grass, tables, chairs overturned, no service whatsoever. Told the receptionist who... More

This was our fourth stay in 15 years and we were very disappointed. To be met at reception by someone chewing gum is not a good start in a hotel of this calibre. A lot of money has been spent on decoration but there is a lot of thought lacking in the bathroom - poor towels, no bathrobes, a hair... More

We were 2 couples used to travel World wide and arriving there we were welcome. Our rooms were fine, pleasant and the heater working well enough for the cold weather we had. Diner was excellent and the place authentic. The pricing system need to be improved as there was a discrepency between the booking and the check, But I would... More

We first stayed here in the summer of 2000, before the attic was converted into guest rooms. We were not seeking luxury and, indeed, our room, once a monastic cell, was plain and simply furnished; I recall no TV or minibar, certainly no aircon. But it was spacious enough, with painted frescos, and - because the Castello sits on the... More

We stayed with three other couples in this hotel while on a golfing trip through Piemonte. The location on top of a hill is beautiful and so are the views from the swimming pool. The rooms however were very disappointing. Ours was small, filled with rusty and wobly bric a brac, no chest of drawers, no airco. The bathroom was... More

This place may have been ok in 2005 when the only other eview was left, but it's certainly gone downhill since then. The website shows nothing of the run down gardens and rusty sun loungers and tables. We arrived (4 of us) on a Monday night at the end of June travelling through Italy. We were the only guests in... This castle on a hilltop near Ivrea is peaceful and full of history dating to the Romans (and including Napoleon's troops as well as Hollywood movie stars of the early 1900's). The castle has been renovated in a very tasteful way, preserving glimpses into history while offering completely modern accomodations at excellent, unbelievable values. The bathrooms are gorgeous and many... More
