There are clusters of rooms which indicate the growth of the hotel over the years. Some rooms face a courtyard close to the dinning room, others are close to the pool and face out towards part of the town and the winery. And there are still other rooms that you must walk through the winery to get to. It's nicely... More

Some 30 minutes from Bahuichivo station by road, opposite the church in the village of Cerocahui. We were made welcome on arrival by the young man, who among other things waited at table. Our room overlooked the small vineyard at the rear of the hotel - it was very comfortable & even more comfortable when we returned from dinner to... More

We loved our stay at Mision, in Cerocahui. Our room was ordinary, but Mision staff went out of their way to show kindness and warmth. Food was very good; surprisingly sophisticated. We enjoyed a tour of the little adjacent winery, and they fixed us up with Juan, who led us on a horseback ride into the countryside.

The hotel is in the town, with original and new rooms around a pleasant garden area. We had the presence of a guide which was useful in getting more information about this slightly remote town and its history. Nothing particularly outstanding about the hotel, although it met our needs well and we were only there for one night ( which... More

If you want plush four/five star facilities don't stay here. However if you want clean adequate accommdation with good international food and great friendly service in a traditional village setting this is a good place to stop. They even make their own wine from their vineyards byt he river which are worth a try.

No Ac in rooms but Mother nature took care of that as I stayed in the Rainy season. Realized that wood stove in room would be used during certain months of the year. Pool exceptionally clean & temperature was perfect. A must is the tour to Urique Canyon with Guadalupe. An extremely knowledgeable & friendly guide. Dining room staff, excellent.

We stayed at the Hotel Mision for one night in early September. Our room was comfortable and we were not cold because the weather was still warm at this time of year. The shower had good water pressure though the water did not get more than lukewarm. This could be a problem in cold weather. The courtyard and vineyard were... More

We were there in January and the only heat in the rooms comes from a small, wood burning fireplace in a corner of the room. Our room never got warm. There were hardly any guests at the hotel and there was rarely even warm water. Cold showers in a cold room! Outside temps were between 20 and 50 degrees Farenheit.... More

The service was more or less OK except for a tour where we were put into a rented van with no guide and no English Speakers. What was outrageous was their "Mision de Cerocahui" wine. We love trying local wines and were delighted to read that this hotel produces their own wine. Imagine our disgust when we took a bottle... More

This is the only hotel in Cerrochui, a small, picturesque town in the Copper Canyon. The description of lush gardens and vineyards was an overexaggeration to say the least. The swimming pool is tiny! The food was maginal to poor....and given the sparse rooms and accomodations this was another Balderamma rip off. Cokes $2 each....wine with dinner $5 glass!! There... More
