This was something we'd looked forward to. The first night in Spain at the beginning of a 3 week tour. First impressions were good - reasonable car park, efficient check in and a realy nice room - lots of space, clean and tastefully decorated. We went down to dinner in good spirits, entered a lovely room - and everything went... more

The parador was large with many rooms. I wonder how much original characteristics of the building have been maintained as it looked just like a hotel constructed in the 70s. The town itself is intersting, and I'd recommend having meals in the town, and not the parador. Our dinner in the parador was rather disappointing. The dishes tasted reheated. (We... more

The outside of this hotel is pretty standard - nothing special. Inside it is very nicely decorated and there is a lovely cafe courtyard. The gardens are very tranquil and there are sunbeds available. There is an outdoor and indoor swimming pool. The indoor pool is quite small. The outdoor pool is great but when we visited (June) was surrounded... more

First Parador--it was a nice room, spacious bathroom but the hotel was a bit past its prime (that I'd read some of the Paradores are in Spain). The restaurant was so so only--so overpriced, and the surliest service we had in Spain. That with us being Spanish speakers. The steam room was nice, the jacuzzi cool but there was an... more

We used this hotel as a base to visit not only Tordesillas but also the surounding countryside. I found the staff friendly but slightly cool but maybe this was due to language rather than attitude. The room was comfortable and the swimming pool a bonus as the weather was warm. The restaurant was not greatly varied but did have local... more

This is a very pleasant hotel on the old (i.e., pre-autovia) road between Tordesillas and Salamanca. The room was spacious, pleasantly old-fashioned, and very quiet. French doors opened onto a green space with a pleasant morning scene. The dining room served quite good food. Staff were very obliging -- and since we did not have a car (we travelled by... more

Going again to the parador of Tordesillas, i have a feeling that the restaurant is not working very well, namely it has a short menu (that is a problem since the paradores changed the menu) and a very limited wine lyst, especially without the wines from the region of the parador (rueda or toro) that someone would expect. The breafast... more

The Parador lies just off the entrance to the town of the same name and is really nice. We stayed here 7 Jun 05. The reception was quick if not a little cool. the Parador Tordesillas has some really nice settings and the rooms are ample. The entrance to the room has a small foyer with the bathroom all tiled... more
