Revisited this pub a couple of times during our stay in Lechlade on Thames. Pub is small but staff and locals are really friendly. Far most the most welcoming in the area. Some good live music on the Saturday night too. Nice outside seating area. Pool table and jute box to the rear.

We always pop in here after being to Colleys restaurant across the way, staff are very pleasant the Pub is clean and warm, great selection of Ales and a stunning local one too. Its great to see non-chain or non-themed pubs still in existence in the UK as they are a dying breed. Always great to pop in here to... More

Stayed at the B&B yesterday on a particularly freezing night. We had booked the rooms well in advance as we were attending a friend's wedding. Firstly, there is no on-site parking and the parking in the Market Square is restricted to 2 hours, so you will need to find somewhere nearby that's suitable. On arrival at The Crown, we were... March 20th I'll be honest, my wife and I opened the door and thought "Oops!" It IS a basic, no frills "locals" bar but it did have two roaring log fires and it was pretty awful outside. I was just about to turn around when the landlord/barman (?) impressed me by moving swiftly away from warming his bum at the... More

A very friendly, lively little pub, with traditional old fashioned charm and decor. Lovely open fires, good selection of beers and other drinks, friendly service. Add to that the lovely beer garden, micro-brewery, pool table, jukebox and accommodation if required, and you have all the ingredients for a marvellous experience. (Sadly they no longer do the Sunday Lunch which is... More

If you want to see why so many pubs are closing in the UK, this is probably a good example. The bar is totally basic, when we visited there was a cluster of locals at one end of the bar, noisy and with foul language you would not really want to hear when you are trying to relax with friends.... I'm sorry to hear that your visit to The Crown wasn't as enjoyable as you or we would have hoped. We do try to keep the pub clean and I'm sorry that you felt otherwise. We pride ourselves on being a friendly small town pub and the atmosphere in the pub usually shows this. Obviously we are not responsible for... More

Excellent pub in Lechlade, with a fabulous little beer garden tucked away at the rear in which to sit and enjoy one of the pubs Real Ales.

Very nice room at a pub with FANTASTIC beer. The pub itself is in a great location--right in central Lechlade. The room was excellent, in the garden area of the pub. Comfortable and clean. Lodgers should be aware that the rooms are right next to the garden area of the pub, so you will hear the evening pubgoers until closing.... More
