I stayed here with a friend for 3 nights while exploring the Cotwolds. I found the rooms very clean and comfortable. We ate at the Swan on one evening and the food was very good, and there was a good selection of real ales. The manager Chris, as well as the other staff, was very friendly and helpful. We thoroughly... More

My friend and I were in the area for a weekend visiting various Cotswold attractions, We stayed in rooms 3 & 4 which had recently undergone refurbishment. The rooms were clean, comfortable and in the historic old part of the building, not in a modern extension as is often the case. Whilst we were there, the builders were hard at... More

My wife and I live in Lechlade and have not visited this pub for a very long time as it was always dark and dingy and the less said about the staff the better!! However we had heard that a local buisness man had took it over early in February and had to give it a try..... this saturday 11th... More

The new owner took over in Febuary 2013 and is doing a great job in refurbishing the Swan Hotel. It's own brewery was an added bonus. Good, friendly atmosphere. Excellent dinner. Best cappucino I've tasted - sitting in a big leather sofa under dried hops and old beams. The rooms are still being redone, but ours (No.4) was complete. Room... More

I firstly went to the Swan inn the second week it opened, it was amazing! I could not believe the ambiance in the building and the food really was something special, this was a place me and my partner really did recommend to everyone! I then returned to the Swan inn last week to find that the menu had totally... More

Found this on the web when looking for somewhere nice to break a very long journey! Excellent lunch and wonderful friendly service. Beautiful log fire burning in the grate when we arrived (needed on a cold April day!) and very comfortable tables. Congratulations on a great and sympathetic refurbishment to a lovely old building

We stayed the night in one of the newly refurbished bedrooms which are immaculately clean and beautifully furnished in keeping with the history and age of the fantastic building. We had a great night's sleep, aided no doubt by the real ale brewed by the owners just around the corner!! Our meal was superb and reasonably priced. The manager Chris... More

We went there to eat and experienced a very warm welcome indeed and the service was also excellent. This Inn has only been refurbished recently to an extremely high standard leaving all the Inn type features one would expect, especially the stone open fireplace. We would certainly go back without question should we be passing through. Thanks for a great... More
