This was just the place after a day's skiing at nearby Glenshee. It's a welcoming inn, with roaring fires in both the bar and the restaurant. Previous reviewer found a lot to dislike in room 3, but having just stayed in it, I can confirm that it has now been newly redecorated. The bathroom is not so modish, but is... More

been to this place before and returned for a short break. we have been lucky enough to sleep in a lovely room before but this trip was awful. quite clearly some of the rooms are nicer than others. We were in room three which is honestly stuck in a bad 70s sitcom. decor was horrendous, the bed was uncomfortable, the heating... More

We only stayed one night in this hotel while travelling through Scotland. It is a nice old house with lots of atmosphere, located in a small village, named Kirkmichael. It's close to the pictoresque small town of Pitlochry. To get to Kirkmichael you have to drive through the magnificent central highlands. The room was beautiful, the bathroom a bit outdated.... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our one night here. The food was very good and the Breakfast freshly cooked. The only one we had staying at hotels in Scotland. Being a small establishment I suppose they could do this. Beautiful location. Staff pleasant and friendly. Very good value compared to others. More

We were more than pleasantly surprised on our arrival, the rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. The decor is beautiful and the setting is picture perfect. We had a great nights sleep and breakfast the next morning was fantastic and served by very friendly and helpful staff..answering our questions about directions and so forth. The 15 min drive into... We arrived here exhausted at the end of a long day on the road, only to find them too busy to get us a table before they stopped serving food at 8.30pm. They kindly recommended us an alternative down the road, but this too was too busy. We called the Strathardle Inn in despair and the owner said that although... More

I have visited this hotel before for drinks and food and was impressed. Today (2nd May) being Mayday we decided to visit the Inn to go to the adverstised Lobster Festival with my partner and son. When we arrived we were gobsmacked to find that the advertised festival was not happening. To add flames to the fire no food was... More
