I've been to la Cerreta a number of times. It is truly a magical place, made so by the farm proprietors. Based on reading a number of the reviews, some folks likely have a misunderstanding about la Cerreta prior to arrival. It is not a hotel. It is a working farm that allows guests a window into the way life... More

I loved this place! I was looking for authentic Tuscany and found it here. The food, the owner's mother's family recipes, is hardy farm fare - sometimes good, sometimes brilliant. The wine from Cerreta's vineyard was very, very good and surprisingly included in the cost of our Board. When we arrived, we had only scheduled half board (includes breakfast and... More

We stayed for 10 days in July 2011 at this peaceful farm stay. The rooms are basic but charming. The food is best described as honest, first class ingredients that speak for themselves. Each night is a gastronomic tour of Tuscany. However the farms fundamental approach (95% of all the food is produced on the farm) is partly it's downfall.... More

A travel agent suggested this hotel to our group. This hotel is in the middle of nowhere!!!!!! We were locked into staying for 5 days as they would not refund our deposit. 4 out of our 5 days stay we had no hot water. Rustic is an understatement in describing the rooms. The brochure you read is basically false advertising.... More

This place is just insane. Rooms are tiny, dirty and super damp, and that is in the summer! The bathroom was horrible, with a shower box falling apart and marks of damp are everywhere! There were dead bugs scattered here and there. Though it is in a beautiful spot of nature, you have to go through over a mile of... More

My daughter and I stayed here at the end of our "Italy tour" for some much needed rest before heading to the states. The property is beautiful and the rooms were charming and comfortable. No a/c but even though it was very warm, the evenings were pleasant. The food is almost beyond description - everything fresh from the farm, picked... More
