It's does what it says on the tin! Good wholesome food, excellent value with warm and friendly service. It's not your posh pub grub, but it's hot, good value and home made. Staff went out of their way to accommodate us on a busy night.

Lovely food very warm welcome, fantastic service, very accommodating, staff couldn't do enough for us. Portion sizes huge (don't lessen them though lol), food was cooked fresh to order. Staff fit us in even though we were a party of 9, thank you for adding to the pleasure of our short break. Definitely recommend.

We had an excellent lunch today. Roast beef dinner was plentiful and very tasty, but left a wee space for dessert which was delicious. Service was very good. Wished we lived nearer, would definitely be regulars.

We lunched here during an MG car run and they dealt with the influx of people well. It was great that the place is dog friendly too. There is a good choice of food, Everything we had was good and everyone else enjoyed their meals.

Ate here twice in the last couple of weeks . Received a very warm reception from the staff. I enjoyed the best steak pie I have had in a long time. Dogs welcome in the bar area where you can choose from an extensive menu. Highly recommended.
