I have stayed at The Six Bells about four times to date. I am never let down, it is the middle of a very quiet village, so the sleep quality is fantastic. Complete silence. The beer is good, and the service is very friendly. The only gripe I had, was that my dinner was clearly microwaved, I even heard it... More

We stayed here for 2 nights on a half board basis. It is in a lovely peaceful village with a duck pond and a windmill. The gardens are very pretty and it is lovely to sit outside on a warm day with a drink. The breakfasts were delicious and the coffee machine made delicious coffee. Dinner in the evening was... More

We have visited the Six Bells at least six times and always receive a warm welcome. The rooms are very comfortable and the food is always beatifully cooked. If you like olde-worlde inns full of character then you'll love the Six Bells, with its many oak beams and an inviting inglenook fireplace in the bar. One of the things we... More

We stayed here for the night on the one free night away deal after buying legal and general life insurance. However the rooms that were available in the deal were booked so we paid and upgraded to the four poster bed room. First impressions of the room were quite good it had a cottage feel to it and good storage... More

From the initial greeting to paying the bill everything was top notch at this Inn. We went here for my 50th Birthday and were definately servered a treat! We were shown to the room by a very amiable chap called John. And were instantly impressed by the cleanliness and facilities of the room. And despite one other review on this... More

This is the second time that my husband and I have stayed at the 'Six Bells', each time we have found it to be very clean, not badly priced and the breakfasts have been freshly cooked to order. The rooms are set out in a converted stable block in a 'L' shape, the first time we stayed in a twin... More

Despite some reviews on here suggesting that the rooms are too cold, we stayed on a snowy night with temperatures dipping below -6 and we were taosty and warm. The extra blankets in the room and the hot water bottle were not necessary.I know of at least one set of friends who were put off by the reviews, so don't... More

We came to Bardwell to visit family and go to a party. We only had bed and breakfast, didn't have any drinks in the bar or restaurant. Gorgeous surroundings, nice little place. It was a converted stable block. We had a four poster bedroom, large ensuite, nice room. View out the window was below the field outside which was a... More
