Was not happy with our stay at the Dolawel, the headboard on the bed in room 1 was filthy, covered in fluff, the room was not serviced at all and when I asked the lady owner why the bed hadn't been made or the cups washed she said she had been busy and actually seemed surprised that I had expected... Up the hill from the harbor. Somewhat elusive but pleasant enough hostess. Rather unhelpful as we arrived rather wet after walking on the Coastal Path. Surprised the lady of the house offered us no assistance at all. Nicely decorated room. Watch out for the very hot water in the bathroom. Hostess much chattier in the morning. Breakfast was the usual... More

The hosts were very welcoming & friendly. It's in a great location, only a 5 minute walk to the beach front. The rooms were very clean, & they were cosy; if a little on the small size for the double bed room we had. The double bed was very soft; comfortable as long as you don't move about to much.... More

Great B&B with a great location. Very fair rates for what you get. The breakfast was great, fresh tomato and fresh mushrooms, good choice of cereal and drinks to order. Our 4 year old also was given a choice of what she wanted off the cooked breakfast. The owners are lovely and I'm sure would sort any problems you may... More

We stayed here last weekend for one night after travelling to New Quay on impulse. The location is just a few minutes walk from the harbour. The house is clean and tidy, the bed was comfy but the room was too hot for us and we had to have the window open which meant we heard traffic from early morning.... More

We stayed in the family room which was nicely decorated and laid out. The double bed was not the most comfortable and the door into the bathroom had see through panes which is not ideal when you have your teenage child staying with you. Apart from that the Dolawel is a great place to stay, with a full breakfast and... More

I recently stayed at Dolawel and was not impressed to find that the double bedded room booked had been given to other guests. Instead a twin bedded room was provided with the most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept in. The rooms were not serviced during the day so the cups provided for tea and coffee have to be washed...
